No matter what it is that you do, activity breeds activity at 11:36 am
Activity breeds activity. Any self-employed person who doesn’t believe it, watch what happens the moment you fill your calendar with at least one personal or networking appointment per day. All of a sudden there are more work-related phone calls and emails than you can believe. Networking on any level attracts more networking. Activity breeds activity.

CD Integrated Marketing celebrates three new website launches last week May 4, 2010 at 11:04 am
All very different types of websites, yet all have a commonality to them – they are related to residential homes and real estate.
- A long-time and dear friend of mine has been longing for a personal real estate website without using the boilerplate look that many realtor sites use. She is a broker-associate in Fuller-Sotheby’s office in Castle Pines so needed to take into consideration the “approved” website layout/look/feel. I subtly modified a version of Sotheby’s template, added a nice xml-driven flash intro slideshow showcasing her listings, IDX feed, and a feedback form. Now she has a place to send visitors that won’t allow her clients to get lost inside a larger broker site, and is starting to work on social networking and external linking to her site to gain leads. www.wandakford.com
- Happy Canyon HOA needed a new website for its residents, and I found them a free content management service through HOAsOnline.com who really provide an incredible amount of functionality and usability in a free package. I transferred legacy information from the previous site and configured the HOAsOnline template to work for the HOA – www.happycanyon.org
- Another address specific website for a Castle Pines Village real estate listing, 5282RedPassWay.com showcases the wonderful photography taken by Spotlight Home Tours. In lieu of utilizing the more standard and somewhat typical “virtual tour” to market this home, we created a room-by-room tour that gives prospects a better understanding of what the home feels like, and also adds a bit of organization to the experience. I also created a non-branded version for mass distribution via ListHub to enable the site to be seen as a virtual tour in MLS IDX feeds all over the internet.

If you’re going to make them, at least learn from your mistakes April 17, 2010 at 5:06 pm
I’ll never make that mistake again! When they tell you to backup EVERYTHING before moving a website, they’re not kidding! Backed up server files, but neglected to remember to backup the database. I’m so accustomed to working with non-data driven sites, I made a very rookie mistake, and it has cost me a day figuring out what I had done to my database and then correcting it! Back up and running now… relief is almost dizzying!
Learning new tricks and loving it! April 15, 2010 at 5:11 pm
Was captivated by the development functionality offered by WordPress, after doing some research for a client. Decided to migrate my cdintegragedmarketing.com website to the platform, and here it is, less than a day after installing the software. Not necessarily just for blogging, for those interested in website development. I’m impressed!
